If you’re curious about what the cool folks are browsing these days, here’s a list of websites that I visit from time-to-time:
“Because there is no playbook for how to be a guy.”
MEL is a lifestyle and culture magazine that covers relationships, health, money, work, and culture from a male point-of-view, even though the contributors are not all male, and no one is sure of what “male” means anymore.
The award-winning zine, blog and directory of mostly wonderful things.
The definitive guide to the world’s hidden wonders.
I Can’t believe these are still up in 2020 (but I’m happy about it!):
Dave’s Web of Lies! http://www.davesweboflies.com
Bear Skin Rug
I first recommended this site in 2006. If you have lots of time to spare, do enjoy a protracted visit to Kevin Cornell’s old website. Jump right the good stuff here. He’s an amazing talent (I’ll leave it to you to discover what that is). His new website is here.
The Museum of Bad Art
I’ve been a fan of this site since 2000, and first posted about it in 2004! “The pieces in the MOBA collection range from the work of talented artists that have gone awry to works of exuberant, although crude, execution by artists barely in control of the brush. What they all have in common is a special quality that sets them apart in one way or another from the merely incompetent.”
